AI Futures Summit: Empowering Higher Education - Call for Abstracts

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set the goal to become a global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by 2031. The country aims to leverage cutting-edge technologies to boost amongst other areas; education. Adopting AI technologies aims to drive innovation, reduce operational costs and create thousands of job opportunities.

The strategy would not only position the UAE as a hub for AI innovation but also contribute to the nation’s sustainability goals. Smart AI-powered solutions will optimize resource usage, reduce carbon emissions, and improve efficiency across various sectors.

As the UAE also designated 2025 as the Year of Community, we are therefore particularly delighted to announce that the AI Summit, bringing together academia and corporations, will take place as part of a partnership between Khalifa University and Knowledge E.

AI is rapidly evolving and is transforming how research is conducted and how knowledge is disseminated. Discussing AI in academia and research supports understanding current trends, challenges, and opportunities. A summit about AI in academia and research prepares for the future, ensuring everyone is equipped with tools and knowledge to succeed in an increasingly AI-driven academic landscape.

We therefore invite proposals (in English) for 20 minute presentations or 1 hour panel sessions (at least 3-4 speakers) linked to any of the topics listed below: (Preference will be given to case studies that showcase innovative examples of AI collaboration from inspiring HEIs.)
